Your Best is Not Enough
WHO: 004 and whoever runs into him
WHERE: Over by Solus' temple
WHEN: Sometime in the afternoon
WHAT: 004 goes on patrol
WARNINGS: 00moping
Albert considered himself lucky at the very least. The explosion should have killed him. There were a lot of things that should have killed him in the past: the bullets at the Berlin wall, Black Ghost's dangerous test runs, his body malfunctioning, the two other cyborgs sent to kill him. But he survived, somehow. Yet it gave him a real sense of mortality. In this place, With all these giant killing machines who could apparently flip out without any warning, it was really a matter of when they'd come after him again. He didn't intend to run away, it just wasn't an option. He had a duty and people to protect. What really bugged him was this: when they came after the others, could he successfully keep people like Teddie safe? He had doubts. These were juggernauts he was thinking about and sure, he had an arsenal, but could he keep them safe?
Over by Solus' temple, he skirted by the tunnels of the temple, walking as he ran through the possibilities in his mind. Could he really go against those guys? Right now he felt like a small annoyance to the force. These guys were all robots, and here he was, this small human. He As he came out of the temple, across the landscape of Cybertron, those doubts still swam through his mind. He kept watch for any dangers, anything that might come up. Patrolling is the least he could do, right?

Take now, for example. There is no explanation, he's just somehow there. It's not like he meant to be weird, in fact, one would think it'd be pretty easy to hear him coming anyway since he squeaks every time he takes a step...
But there he is, catching Albert during his stroll, being as awkward as always. Hello there.
"What are you doing?"
no subject
"I would ask you the same thing."
no subject
"Nngh, I'm bored."
Yup, that's the only explanation he gives. Boredom.
no subject
"...well, I'm just on patrol. I guess you can follow along. For awhile."
Just as long as you keep yourself safe.
no subject
You know, since right now. He gives an excited arm pump and looks at Albert as if awaiting orders.
"What are we doing first, boss? Fighting the bad guys? Saving girls~?"
no subject
"We're just doing patrol, checking for suspicious activity."
no subject
He follows behind Albert, practically marching. He's trying really hard to look like he's taken this seriously, but by doing so, he sort of looks ridiculous with how over the top he's being. HE'S A SERIOUS PATROL MAN, DON'T MESS.
"I'm all about suspicious activity. Why, if I didn't know better, I'd say I was suspicious myself..."
no subject
"If I didn't know any better," he faked a serious moment of thinking, "I'd say you were a spy."
no subject
"I'm such a good spy, I didn't even realize I was a spy!"
no subject
"And what do you think we should do with a spy?"
no subject
He wibbles a little, whimpering like a child. It's only until he remembers he's a MAN and takes a deep sigh, accepting his fate.
"Lock me up and throw away the key. I deserve it. I was a bad bear."
no subject
no subject
How very kind of you, Albert. You are a true friend.
"Why do I need a pardon?"
It should be noted that Teddie doesn't know how the legal system works. Not entirely, at least. All he knows is that the bad people go to jail and...something about court? Who knows.
no subject
"To let society know that you're forgiven."
no subject
Who would have thought that patrolling was such a hard job?
no subject
"As long as you're sorry, it's fine."
no subject
Although he'll admit...mentally at least, he missed people patting his head. Even if Albert isn't a girl.
no subject
"And then afterwards we can...what is it that bears do?"
