this is absolutely a good idea
Who: sentinel and blurr
What: come betray everyone with me bruh
Where: the bar
When: after liege sends out his message but before blurr goes to fight
Warnings: sentinel
[he's slightly anxious. of course he is, after the talk with liege - there were so many variables he wasn't sure about or if liege was even lying about the entire thing but honestly? the worst thing that could happen would be dying, and that a certainty if they try to fight unicron.
stepping back into the bar, sentinel takes the robot equivalent of a deep breath, grabs a random cube out of someone's hand as he walks past and puts on his best douchebag grin as he spots blurr and saunters over to the booth, sliding in and dumping the cube on the table. (oil mix? whoever he took this off has horrible taste.)]
I can't believe everyone came here after being called to arms! What... camaraderie! [a snort] Seriously though, big god of evil in the sky, go fight him, whatever. How are you doing?

Most of us wanted to say goodbye to others just in case and also have a drink. Can't really blame them.
Ehm..I think I'm managing. And you? [Because you seems a bit nervous, pal.]
no subject
Yeah I... yeah. Doing the same! [he holds up the cube, forcing a grin.] Probably the same as you. There's only so much that high grade can fix.
no subject
Yeah. I'm here just to check how everyone is going in and then I'll leave to meet Vector. [All that cheerfulness in such moment is really weird, Blurr gives him a look.]
Are you completely sure you are okay? I know the news are core shaking.
no subject
[he swirls the drink then pushes it away, expression falling stony. now isn't really the time to focus on his own nerves.]
I was going to ask you about that. Are you sure you think going with Vector is the way to go? Just... charging blindly into a fight like that?
no subject
no subject
[sigh.] Whatever he's doing is playing hell with the Lambda, and... Liege said he had an in.
[he pauses, waiting to see blurr's reaction.]
no subject
Liege? I..saw his post.
no subject
[sentinel doesn't know that, alas.] We can go back, because of him. Staying here is tantamount to a death sentence!
no subject
I don't trust him nor I trust Unicron. Makes makes you think that Liege really holds any power? That Unicron won't just turn on him and kill him? Besides, it's just not right.
no subject
[he rubs at one of his wrist guards, still tense.] I don't think it's wrong. We can go home instead of fighting a pointless war on a doomed planet.
no subject
[Blurr frowns slightly, lowering his voice and leaning closer.] You are thinking about it.
no subject
[sigh.] I'm not thinking about it; I've already made my choice. I just don't want to leave the only other Autobot from our home universe without the same option.
no subject
[It takes Blurr a moment to process the new information. He almost doesn't want to believe it, being torn between Sentinel seriously considering Liege's offer and the fact he came here to tell him about it.] You can't...you can't be serious. He might be lying, there's no real proofs that they will keep their word and we are your friends. Not just me the other here...
no subject
[ugh this is what he was afraid of.] If he's lying, then we're dead either way. I took his offer because I want to go home. What have the others promised you if we win? To be stuck here indefinitely? [he tries to avoid the question about the others, the thought making his tanks turn. he does consider some of them close to friends, but ultimately cares more about getting home.] Like I said, you're the only one from the same universe as me. Take the offer or leave it, but I don't like the idea of leaving you here to die.
no subject
The thing is, I can't go home, Sentinel. Even if that was an option I would consider, which it isn't, I can't go home. I'm as good as dead in there too.
That's the only reason why you are asking me? Because we come from the same reality?
no subject
[YOU'RE SO CUTE??] Yeah. Yeah, it is. There's no point screwing with timelines and whatever by bringing someone from a completely different universe into another permanently. Besides, you're pretty much the closest thing I have to a [COUGH] friend here. So, you know. I don't want to leave you behind.
no subject
[Sadly cuteness didn't help. How crazy is that? And boy, he needs another drink after that. His cube is now empty.]
I consider you a friend too that's why I hope you are really sure about the decision you are making, Sentinel. For good or bad, it's going to be life changing.
no subject
so much, in fact, his vocalizer skips slightly when he next speaks.] W-- what makes you think that'll happen if we get back? We could stop it! Or-- or this could be a second chance for you. Blurr, this could be an opportunity for you to get revenge on Shockwave.
[he doesn't touch his drink, despite how nice it would be to down a friggin tanker of high grade about now.] I've given it enough thought that I'm certain this is what I want. I'm not staying here to fight against someone we can't beat and don't care about what the others were saying to Liege - that it's cowardice or whatever. Charging into battle against Unicron blindly on a wing and a prayer doesn't constitute bravery. This is taking the smart option and I hope you can see the reasoning and why I asked you, at least.
no subject
I wish you were right but we can't know if that's even a possibility.
[That because you picked a sucky drink, Sentinel. Blurr grabs a new pair of cubes from a nearby waiter drone, sliding one to the other mech. For a moment he's considering getting Sentinel drunk to stop him from this madness.]
I can see why you asked me and that I can appreciate. But when I joined the Elite Guard I took an oath, Sentinel, I made a promise. I stand for simple justice and everyone's right to freedom. That thing out there? He goes against everything we promised to fight for.
We don't do what we do because it's easy. We do it because it's the right thing to do. We can only make the world better if we start for ourselves. I can't leave now, I can betray those I care about only because I'm scared.
no subject
[he doesn't sound as confident as before. this was already a hard choice.] Liege's offer would let everyone leave a doomed planet and return home. Leaving, what, an empty planet? There's probably thousands of alternate Cybertrons that have met the same fate as this one! Everyone who's staying is giving up the chance to see their family and friends again - and for what, exactly? Because those First Forged who haven't even had the decency to be honest with us said so?
no subject
[At his point Blurr just gives him a sad look. He sees where Sentinel is coming from. He still can't bring himself to agree.] Do you really think I'm doing this because a FirstForged asked me to? It's not for them, it's for my friends, for people like you, whom I care about. It's so we can return home one day and be sure we all are safe.
This is your choice to make, not mine, but if you do return to our planet, warn the others about Unicron because if we don't win no one will be safe.
no subject
[he not so subtly averts his gaze when blurr gives him that look. no sir.] We can return home safely now! You think the First Forged will care about any of you when you've done their job for them? They'll probably just leave to explore the universe and leave you all on this wasteland!
Blurr, you're making a mistake by staying.
no subject
[He's scared and worried too, more than he lets on. But he cares about his duty and others more than he cares about his safety. He's that much of an idiot.]
So...when is happening? When is Liege leaving?
no subject
[he leans forward on his elbows and nudges his drink again with the tips of his fingers.] He was expecting me to arrive with you.
no subject
no subject
[liege wasn't actually happy about it.] I don't think he cares, he made his intentions of not sticking around with anyone who followed him clear.
Which is why I trust him more. Sure, he's outright abandoning us, but at least he's honest about it.
no subject
no subject
[starting to sound a little bit desperate here; he's clearly grasping at straws.]
C'mon, you can come back and fix what happened!
no subject
I can't Sentinel. I can't do that, I'm sorry. We might win. You could stay and help us fight.
no subject
Fine, fine! I tried, okay? I tried.
[that's more for himself than blurr. he pushes the cube away across the table and goes to get up.
later, nerd.]
no subject
W-wait! [Cube forgotten, he makes use of his much faster speed to catch up on Sentinel...and give him a hug.] No matter what happens, I'll miss you.
no subject
he stiffens up, then shoves blurr off.] Get off me.
[because blurr is obviously just trying to make him feel guilty, right?]
no subject
die like a manfight by his friend's side, no chicken out to elope with Mr. CrazyPantsLiege.Blurr's is not going to insists further and thus he takes a step away.
YesMaybeNo, he wants Sentinel to stay.] Fine. [He fidgets a bit before speaking again.]If you are really leaving, can you take frank with you? I might not be able to take care of him by the end of the week. [Since he might be dead and all that.]
no subject
he almost says no. he really comes very close.] ...Sure, whatever.
no subject
He's waiting outside the bar, he will follow you if you because he knows you. Thanks, Sentinel.
no subject
aaaand walks out without another word.]
