Who: Sg Starscream and Blurr
Where: Solus Washracks
When: The day after Starscream got drunk with Kagerou.
What: Tired robots need a relaxing oil bath
Warnings: None!

[Blurr waits in front of the washracks 's gates for Starscream to show up. Being alone and having time to think about the last days makes him cringe internally. He's been acting like such a pompous idiot, even yelling at his friends. He knows has to make an official apology but he finds himself too embarrassed to do so today. Perhaps tomorrow will be easier.]

[Too late.]

But..you said...I..okay okay. [Internally squeeing.] hurry up, hurry up!

[ just falling silent for now. if robots could look sick to their stomachs, that might be a good way to describe him. talking about this is probably a good idea, but...

man, Starscream is so twisted up inside about all this and he doesn't know why and it's just...

confusing. so confusing.

give him time to actually get all ready and set. he needs this oil bath. so much. ]

[Blurr doesn't want to upset him so he will silently open the gates of the washracks for him and lead the seeker to one of the biggest pools for him to relax.]

This one's not too hot, what do you think?

Heat really isn't a problem...

[ and he'll demonstrate that by slipping into the pool with a nice, pleasant hum. ]

[That made Blurr chuckle.] The pool's big ^{enough for} both of us but I guess I can _{get into} the one next to yours.

[SO YOU CAN TALK TO HIM. ABOUT STUFF.]

[ AND MAYBE YOU WILL FORGET ABOUT THE TALKING. ]

In fact, he wants to stay closer to make sure he can see your reactions. Body language tells him a lot.

Blurr slips into the pool, his engine making a happy soft revving at the warm oil.] Ahhhthisissonice.

So...how are you feeling? [Testing, testing testing the waters...]

[ his own engine makes for a purr, wings no longer in a tense position. well.. they ease up until Blurr makes that obvious move.

he sighs then, running a hand over his face plates. ]

Confused, more than anything.

[The smaller mech leans back against the pool. His shoulders can't never get covered due to their lengths but the oil reaches his neck and this is probably the most relaxes he ever looked.]

Do you feel like sharing why? I won't judge.

[ Blurr, don't tempt him into dunking you into the pool. depending on how things go down, that is a very likely scenario. ]

Cliffjumper and I were both affected by the pink energon, for starters.

[ he just wants to sink beneath the pool and never get back out. ]

Before you get carried away, nothing scandalous occurred, Blurr.

[Starscream is free to try that ~~frisky bot~~ ]

Both, are you sure? I talked to Cliff and he said he wasn't affected by anything. Perhaps he didn't notice....

[Blurr bits his lip, trying to stay calm and also trying not to look too disappointed.]

Define scandalous.

Yes, I am sure. We both ran into different patches of pink crystals and we didn't notice until the effects wore off...

[ but he just shoots Blurr a little glare. you are NOT getting that sort of detail. ]

He isn't speaking to me and I... I don't know how to feel about all of it.

[ a pause. ]

Blurr... Just what did you see that made you think we were compatible?

Cliffjumper gets_embarrassedoften about this sort of things, perhaps that's why he's avoiding you. I'm sorry, Starscream. [He really is. He can only imagine how confusing this must be for both of them.

There's a small shrug from Blurr as a reply, as if Starscream just asked the most obvious thing.]

It was a bit of everything, you know? The way you talked with each other and about each other. The way you look after him and how he worries about you. Was it that much of a wild idea, you think? To think that you two would be good for each other?

[ because of reasons, Blurr. ]

I should have expected as much, really.

[ as he DOES know Cliffjumper that well. with a sigh, Starscream mulls over the other things that Blurr mentions. he sinks in deeper into the pool, groaning as the warm oil does wonders. ]

It might not be. I-I admit that he keeps my head out of the clouds. Really, I'm not sure what we - I - would do if he wasn't around. I rely on him greatly and it's no secret that I value his opinions as well as his companionship.

[ oops. now his optics are just a bit brighter. ]

Only I've never really thought about r-romantic pursuits. After this incident, I'm a little worried that thinks might change.

[Reasons are silly.

The racer gives him a sympathetic look, giving him time before answering.] I don't think there's any other mech like Cliff out there.

[Are you blushing Starscream?

It looks like you are.]

Is that all ^{there is to} it? Friendship? Sometimes accidents can help us realize a few things about others and about ourselves. I'm sure that if you don't want things to change you can _{_{tell Cliffjumper}} without fear that he won't ever talk to you again. And if you do want things to be a bit different...why not to tell him too? It might not be as terrible as you think.

[ to the first part about Cliff? Starscream smiles softly. ]

No, there really isn't.

[ he isn't going to lie and say he isn't fond of Cliffjumper. Starscream is. it's hard not to think of someone who is always watching your aft fondly.

but then he groans, frowning into the oil. ]

The rest? I don't know. The kissing and the rest wasn't bad, Blurr. In fact, I quite enjoyed it.

[ even now it causes his circuits to warm and he has to cough to reign that feeling back in. ]

But I've never thought of us that way before. Now it's so awkward and I don't understand why. We didn't behave like this when you set us up. Honestly, we have a bit of a laugh and were flustered for some time... Yet we still were able to carry on.

This time? It's different.

[It's hard not to be fond of Cliff, even when he's yelling at your for some stupid thing you did. If something, Blurr appreciates it even more because Cliffjumper calls him out on his bad decisions before it's too late.

Blurr makes a mental note to ask Cliff about the kissing, aside from that he manage to keep a straight poker face.]

Cliffjumper and me share a ^conversationafter that setup, he wasn't all that happy with me but it _{was mostly}because he was as confused then as you are now. Perhaps you two should talk and figure out what changed.

Cliffjumper? Talk about feelings?

[ Starscream raises an optic ridge at that. surely the little blue mech realizes what a challenge THAT would be. they ARE talking about Cliffjumper. ]

I know it has to be done... There are just things I suppose I should try to figure out for myself before then.

[Blurr moves his hand in a so-so gesture.] There was an attempt.

[The conversation started with a lot of yelling at first too. Blurr got scared even but eventually Cliffjumper calmed down.]

Can I ask you something? If you say no, I'll understand.

[ sighs and rubs at his face. ]

You might as well.

[ there's really no reason NOT to ask Starscream something anyway, not after talking a little about all of that. ]

Thanks. The idea of you and Cliffjumper together...is such a crazy one to you?

[Blurr doesn't want o step on more boundaries, he already crossed a lot.]

[ waves his hand about. he's never pursued romantic interests. ]

Not enough time or it wasn't appropriate to do so.

You never...? [It takes him a moment, forgive him.] You have never been with anybody, you mean? That's nothing to be ashamed off, I've been only with two people too...

I'm not really ashamed of it...

It just explains why I didn't think of possibly having a relationship. Cliffjumper doesn't exactly strike me as the type to actively seek them out either.
