quicksilver - quicksilver
WHO: Sideswipe & OPEN
WHERE: The Junk Pile || OR || Around Vector's Temple
WHEN: RIGHT NOW (2/20)
WHAT: Training. Keeping in shape. AKA: Sideswipe is restless after recovering, and needs to move, or else bother Mirage forever.
WARNINGS: None.
Note: Two options for interaction! Note which one you'd like in the subject!
[A - Vector's Area]
[There is a sportscar tearing around the temple grounds. Faster than probably necessary. Louder than probably necessary, too. But he finally felt himself again. He finally felt up to moving about. And it was either this, or pester Mirage into wrestling with him.]
[He has a feeling that would do more harm than good, at this point. Things between them are awkward enough without him leaping on the red bot. So here he was -- driving around, stretching both his wheels, and, as he hits a corner hard, his legs. He slides into the transformation, turning the drive into a long-legged sprint.]
[It feels good to run. He feels better than he has in a long time, getting out and moving like this.]
[Do you approach or try to catch the speeding silver blur?]
~ ~ ~
[B - Junk Pile]
[And later, he takes his run out to the junk. There's no real place for him to practice his blade work, aside from this nasty place, and even after his run, there's still too much pent-up energy for him to go back to their room now.]
[There are a few large pieces of rubble standing upright as he pulls in. His headlights flicker for a moment, before he suddenly slams on the accelerator, and charges the nearest pillar. At the very last second, he transforms, sweeping a blade low, before yanking his arm up in a sudden, quick slice.]
[It carves a deep line across the pillar.]
[He swings around on one foot, coming back down in a stabbing lunge that leaves a hole straight through the pillar. But he doesn't stop there.]
[It's like some kind of madcap ballet, the way he spins and slices, kicks and stabs the imaginary enemies. Nothing is on his mind, for once, but the thrill of the fight. The excitement and energy from defeating your enemy, no matter if they were just practice or not. Where he is doesn't matter, the conflict between himself and his closest friend here doesn't matter.]
[There's only the fight. And he is utterly focused on it.]

[At least, where he comes from. Over flat ground, he could possibly keep up with a human-made jet. There are a lot of things to dodge on this planet, and with the way this jet keeps turning, it's more difficult.]
[But he doesn't give up. Doesn't slow down.]
no subject
He slows though, cruising directly above the mech's helm. Starscream flips, flying upside down. ]
Enjoying yourself?
no subject
[The voice is immediately familiar, and his engine revs. There's no way to jump in this form, but somehow, his frame gives the impression it would, if it could.]
You! What are you doing--?
no subject
rev that little engine all you want, Starscream is correcting his flight - humor in his tone. ]
Nothing much, really. I thought I might give you a little something to chase.
no subject
[Oh, he is. Out of useless frustration. He wants to tackle that jet out of the sky right now.]
You don't know what you're getting into.
no subject
meaning please don't Starscream doesn't want to pick a fight and likely wouldn't do a blasted thing about it.]Perhaps not, but I'm not too worried.
[ if only because what danger is there here? he can't see any. ]
no subject
[He picks up a little more speed, right under the jet now. His tone gets even more defiant. An angry child insulted.]
no subject
[ can't emphasize that enough! ]
However, in speed? Well...
[ Starscream leaves it open ended enough for Sideswipe to get the gist of what he is trying to get at - even if he doesn't fully mean it. ]
no subject
[Sorry, he's as skeptical as they come.]
[And just snarls something defensive in the universal language of angry teenagers, accelerating all the more to gain ground on the jet.]
no subject
but Starscream doesn't answer. just cuts left. then another. gain all the ground you want, little car. got to be able to keep a sharp optic to keep up. ]
no subject
[He's not losing this race if he can help it. He'll burn through all the rubber on all his tires before he gives up. Which seems to be what he's doing, as he skids and swerves after the jet, never once slowing.]
no subject
Starscream loops in the air, putting some distance between himself and the Autobot before twisting and taking his flight path towards Sideswipe.
care for a game of chicken? ]
no subject
[Except suddenly the jet turns around. There's a brief moment of confusion before he realizes what's happening, and then he slams on the accelerator.]
[No way is he going to get scared off by a jet.]
no subject
but what he does do? timing it just right, he shoots upwards in a spiral when Sideswipe is close enough. do your best to avoid catching the heat of those engines. ]
no subject
[There's a barely stifled noise of pure adolescent frustration before he launches himself up. Who knows if he'll actually grab the jet or not. But he has to try.]
no subject
Close call.
[ Sideswipe can have his revenge in a moment, since Starscream sees fit to land not too far away and transform. ]
no subject
[Where he just lays.]
[In a motionless heap.]
no subject
cue said flier coming over to offer a hand. HELPING hand. ]
I, ah, apologize. Hopefully you're not hurt?
no subject
[Only when Starscream is close enough does he move at all.]
[He jumps. Aiming to tackle the jet, if possible -- which may not be, given he's barely two tons of leg with a robot attached.]
no subject
but he's not expecting it, which makes a world of difference. count on him making a surprised sound of alarm as he goes down. ]
no subject
[So when Starscream goes over, all he does is throw his hands in the air, laughing and cheering himself on.]
no subject
let him pick himself up and then he'll give Sideswipe a hand. ]
Congratulations. You caught me.
no subject
Damn right I did. I did fantastic.
no subject
[ just because he had a bit of fun doesn't mean the other did. ]
Or could go for best two out of three.
no subject
Don't tempt me to get physical.
