[Closed] Rose needs a helmet for that bike!
WHO: Isaac and Rose
WHERE: The Junk Pile
WHEN: Before the storm, probably not that long after Isaac arrived
WHAT: They decided to go digging for some materials
WARNINGS: None! Although Isaac might let slip a few swears
Isaac didn't know why he hadn't expected a literal pile of junk. For some reason, the image of the Junk Pile he'd had before actually walking to it - which took a while, and he'd even kept his RIG suit on for extra precaution - had been an Earth market.
Now, standing at the bottom of a massive and occasionally shifting heap of trash, he couldn't help but wonder just why he'd agreed to help Rose without any prior knowledge of the pile. Isaac then shook himself, angry that he was even considering giving up just because it looked hard.
So, he started moving a few things around with his kinesis module. He dialed down the strength of it and tried to aim for small clumps of items which wouldn't cause an avalanche; deciding to occupy himself with looking for anything that might be useful.

She spotted Isaac as she approached and arched a brow when she saw the kinesis module at work. That is certainly something she had not seen done before without the use of magic.
"So, what kind of things do I need to be on the look out for as we search?"
no subject
"Well. From what I remember, most helmets are made from plastic with reinforcements and some padding to keep it comfortable."
Isaac frowns and turns back to the Junk Pile.
"Did you bring that book with you? Maybe it has more specifics."
no subject
"The book said something about that, though I have to admit, I am not exactly sure what plastic is."
Most things for protection were made from leather or metal on her world. Other than the crystals she found a while back, she could not imagine what else could be strong enough.
/tags back an eternity later
Welcome to Physics 101 with Isaac Clarke.
"Whenever you find something, just show it to me. I'll tell you if it's what we want or not."
With that, Isaac turns back to the Junk Pile and starts sifting through the trash while wondering exactly how he's going to put all the materials together. Part of him somewhat hopes they just find a helmet in working order while another wants an opportunity to try and build one with the limited material just to see if he can.
I'm just as bad. -_-;
She started to look through all the junk in hopes that the would find something.
sorry just gonna have a big find to nudge this along
He sorts through the trash for a few minutes before... ah! Isaac pulls up what looks to be an actual helmet, albeit in need of severe repairs. He holds it up to Rose.
"See, this," Raps on the helmet with his knuckles. "Is plastic."
That's fine
"It looks like it's been in battle."
She goes over to him and takes the helmet to feel the weight of it and is surprise by how light it is.
"Can it be fixed?"
no subject
Isaac stares at the helmet for a long few minutes.
"I should be able to fix it up, that is my job after all."
no subject
"Well, I suppose fixing this will be much easier than building one from scratch."
