Rewind to Happy Times That Never Existed
WHO: Rewind and Chromedome
WHERE: Out by the lake
WHEN: Today
WHAT: Stargazing
WARNINGS: None
Chromedome liked to think that this was something the two of them liked to do, though for different reasons. There was something calming about the stars. There was a whole universe out there, and their pain and conflict was only a small part of it. On a more romantic note, there wasn't any other place in the universe he'd rather be then with Rewind, right here, right now.
To prepare for their evening, Chromedome had brought a couple cubes of high-grade, as well as some energon sticks from the bar. He didn't think they needed more than that, but if Rewind thought they needed something else, he'd probably bring it himself. He sighed to himself and sat down to wait for his partner to arrive.

"I'm not late, right? I could have sword I left EARLY this time."
With that, he set the datapad down, peering at it.
"I thought we could catalog our findings. You know, since this world's still being made...figured it could use some constellations. For navigation purposes, you know?"
Even stargazing, he was still Rewind.

He shrugged carelessly and laid back with his hands under his head. Oh yeah look how cool he is Rewind. "Hey, do whatever you think you need to, I'm just here to play connect-the-dots in the sky." Which wasn't totally inaccurate, let's be honest here.
"So, were you in the library just now?"
no subject
There's a soft chuckle as he hurries over, plopping down perpendicular to him, leaning his back against the larger bot's stomach, elbows resting there too. Hello Chromedome, you're the new couch.
"I couldn't do it without my best connect-the-dotter."
The datapad widens itself as he raised it up, getting a panoramic view of the night sky. So he could connect them later. Once that was done, he set it down, leaning his head back.
"Where should we start?"
no subject
Perhaps he was thinking too deeply into it though, all Rewind was doing was laying his head down on him.
"How about... there?"
He pointed up, "If you look at that area carefully, I think you can see Grimlock's face." That wasn't exactly Prowl abuse, but that's really the first thing Chromedome saw.
no subject
Rewind could say the same about Chromedome. There were only a few he'd trust with something like this. To be this casual with. But with him, it was always second nature. As if it were odd not to.
He takes another look though, his visor almost squinting.
"Wait...maybe. If you connect those two right there..."
no subject
"See, if you connect those dots right there..."
no subject
He seems to be mentally connecting the dots, even lifting a finger to help. There's the jaw...there's the head...
"Got it! Okay, Grimlock's the first constellation of old!Cybertron. Old...new Cybertron."
no subject
"So, your turn. What do you see up there?"
no subject
"Me?"
There's another gaze upwards, his visor scanning the skies above for a moment before gesturing up with a finger.
"That one. See that cluster? I can almost make out Prowl being used as a landing pad. For like...Whirl or something."
no subject
What about that cluster there? If you tilt your head you can see Prowl being dunked into a vat of coolant."
He traced the general star outline above them. Sure he was taking a lot of artistic liberties, but it's there! Sort of.
no subject
Eye of the beholder, you say? Not when someone's got a camera.
"Hey, yeah! I can totally see that one. And if you look over there, it's Prowl smiling--no wait it's upside down."
no subject
"Wait, look at that one. If you connect those dots you see Prowl doing a faceplant on the ground."
no subject
Yeah, he has a feeling, but he's not going to bring it up, for obvious reasons. His gaze keeps focused on the sky.
"Yeah! Right next to...what looks like the Lost Light."
no subject
He immediately draws Rewind to another cluster of stars.
"I think I see a turbo fox right there. We can pretend that it's on its way to steal one of Prowl's datapads. He's always hated losing them, it drives him crazy. Over there is... a house. Okay I'm not sure how we're going to turn that into anything but you can give it your best shot."
no subject
"Does it now." There's a slight tone in his voice, as if he's very interested in that little tidbit. Maybe if Prowl were to...'misplace' some. No no, it would be a turbofox! Blurr had one, right?
"A house, huh. Let's leave that one Prowl-free. It kind of looks like where the Senate used to hold meetings."
