Something Worthwhile
Who: Annie, OPEN TO ALL
Where: The Junk Pile
What: Annie is scavenging for items for herself and others
When: Just less than a week after arriving on Cybertron, over the span of a few days
Warnings: None yet? Potential for adorable and violence alike.
Note: Everyone that posts will get an individualized response. Annie might be catching a nap, digging somewhere deeper, or doing all sorts of different things for the days she’ll be searching.
Hiding away in the refuge provided by Nexus would not solve anything in the end, though it had certainly given her time to think and adjust somewhat to the extraordinary surroundings in which she had found herself. She is on new planet, with new people of both a robotic and organic nature. It is all so surreal, especially considering that her final memories of her time in Gotham had been of her death. The memories were painful, and without fail had haunted her each time she attempted to sleep for very long.
Annie could only stand to be in one place for so long, even with such a big room to wander through.
So setting off for the Junk Pile, she had put her mind to focusing on gathering supplies. Walking steadily until arriving at her destination, she rested briefly at the edge of the Junk Pile before starting the hunt for useful items. Rather quickly she was fortunate to enough to find a duffle bag to use for carrying her finds with her.
Even if she could be of no particular use to anyone, Annie would at least do her best to give herself a purpose. She didn’t want to run away forever.

Hesitating at the sight of the fire, Annie remains up high on the junk heap. She doesn't want to approach if Korra is on the defensive.

"Hey, Annie--sorry about that, I didn't mean to freak you out."

Arriving at the bottom, she slows herself down with a few heavy steps of her heels and reaches to grasp at the strap of the duffle bag before it slips completely from her shoulder.
"I-it's okay. Sorry for all the noise."

She nods to the bag.
"How's hunting? Find any good stuff?"

With the nod to the duffle bag, Annie looks down to it at her side and pulls open the zipper. Shaking her head softly to answer the question as she reaches in to pull out an empty glass jar, she holds it up for Korra to see.
"Just this so far... I-I figured at least I could store something in this."

She glances at the junk by them and makes an offer as she tilts her head slightly to one side, "Would you like some help looking?"

"N-not really. I'm looking for food, water, or anything that might be useful for someone."
Glancing at the junk heap where Korra had begun looking, she moves forward to start looking a little off to the side.

Then she frowns. "I'll definitely have to find baskets or carts for that...."
Korra follows Annie, then stops. She's spotted a promising corner poking out half-up a pile of junk. Korra begins to climb toward it.

At the mention of a cart or baskets, Annie nods softly. There must be other decent bags or baskets that Korra would be able to use somewhere in the junk. Even just a backpack might be enough.
When Korra spots something up on the junk and starts to climb towards it, Annie pauses to look herself, but then returns to searching down lower. Unless it was stuck, Korra certainly wouldn't need any assistance checking the item out.

The girl reaches the corner, and begins to tug on it. The thing doesn't budge. And from the feel of it, it seems...big. Like the tip of an iceberg.
Curious, Korra tries digging around it.
Making small talk in the most absurd of places, Korra calls down to Annie, "So, um, can I ask where you're from?"
