WHO: Ambulon, Barricade, Elita One
WHERE: Ssss, let's say Solus's clinic?
WHEN: A few days after Ambulon gets his pretty make-over.
WHAT: Ambulon needs a new paint job and Barricade and Elita are there to help!
WARNINGS: N/A
Ambulon felt as if he had a new lease on life. The sun was shining and the birds were singing and wow, he was so very close to breaking out into song. But, no, no; must keep calm. Restrain and moderate the happiness. Either way, the driving trip around the Haven had really perked him up, and now he was off to receive the finishing touches.
Ambulon's paint job was fairly dull and plain. Hopefully Elita and Barricade could bring more life to it. Really make it pop. He hoped they had paint on them, considering he... had none. But if not, Ambulon would be quite happy to go for a drive and look for some. Surely, if anything, Knock Out had to have some on him.
When he arrived at Solus's medbay, he quickly wiped the smile from his face, and appeared professional, as if he were stepping into another day of work.

Not sure if Ambulon did have paint or not, Elita had gone looking - a bit of a gift to mark the event a little more, perhaps, and more paint was better than less. She'd made sure it was some sort of cybertronian paint and not from Earth or elsewhere, since she had no idea how well those would work.
They'd stick, yes, but hardly for long. She was, honestly, unsure if the paint the mechs from Ambulon's reality used were different from normal paint, since paint wasn't something they used in hers... for anything else than temporary disguises, that was.
If Elita was someone else, she'd probably have knocked or called out as she came in, but sometimes, especially for a more "public" place like this, her function struck and she was quiet as she stuck her helm past the doorway as the door slid aside, and then smiled as she spotted Ambulon.
"There you are. I see Barricade's not here yet."

"What's wrong with being fashionably late?" he inquires as he walks in, flashing a fangy grin. He inclines his head to Elita and Ambulon both.

Oh, and yay, the gang was all here. He smiled to Barricade and nodded. "There's no rush," Ambulon explained, looking between the two. "I am just... grateful you've taken time out to help me with this." He idly picked at a flake of old paint on his shoulder. "I'm not very good at this 'artistic' stuff, so I leave my chassis in your hands."
He frowned, adding, "I was unable to find paint myself, but it seems you've each gotten your hands on some...?"

"Fashionably late is just another way of saying 'I got lost'," she said with a grin of her own, optics bright, before she put the paint down on the nearest bit of free flat surface, shaking her helm.
"No problem at all, Am. Not something I've done before, but it'll be interesting. Do we use brushes or spray cans, though?" She glanced from Ambulon to Barricade. "Is there a procedure for this? An honest, bemused question from Elita as she considers her own question with amusement.
no subject
"Usually it's spray, with any smaller details brushed on. How I do touch-ups, anyway." Of course, Barricade can occasionally just 'reformat' to get the paint back on, but it wasted his energon.

Ambulon sat on the edge of a slab, hands on his knees, looking kind of like a kid in for a check-up. "I leave my body in your good hands," he said, smiling.

"Are you sure that's such a good idea?" chuckling, Elita picked up one of the spray cans, eyeing it. "At least we can refill them when they run out. I imagine it's going to take a bit to actually give a good and nice look and cover."
At least it seemed they by now had enough paint to not leave Ambulon with any uncovered spots, which would have been a pity to have to do...
"And unless we're clumsy, straight lines should be something we can manage."
