It don't help the mess we're in, it's just gonna bring you down again
WHO: Vandal and Starscream
WHERE: Medical Bay
WHEN 08/06/12
WHAT: Starscream pays a visit to Vandal as she recuperates. He has brought no presents because he's a jerkwad.
WARNINGS: NOPE
Starscream usually wouldn't look twice at a human. In his heyday he might have killed them for fun, but not anything more than the sort of fun a kid would torture an insect with--fleeting. But something about this human, the way she sassed, and the way she shut down completely when he mentioned the possibility of alternate universe selves, intrigued him more than any fleshling had a right to. So after some time scrounging with Soundwave in the Junk Heap, obtaining very little of use (but information, and that was better than nothing), and when he entered the Medbay, it was far more accomplished and pleasant than his relative successes should warrant.
"Vandal?"
If she was in sta--...asleep, or something, he'd just come back later, he decided. Or maybe leave a note. Came to see you, but you were unconscious, wasted my time. Something pleasant.

"Fuck..." She mutters, sitting up, running a hand through sweat-soaked hair before regarding him with a sort of half-wave.
"Hey. Hi. Yeah. That's me. What are you uh..."
Didn't she kind of have a freakout on this guy earlier?

"Didn't mean to scare you." He took a seat near the door, resting his elbow joints on his thighs in an exaggerated sort of relaxing, "I'm just here to see how you're holding up. You left our conversation pretty suddenly--and when I made inquiries, I found out you were in here."

"So... I freaked out on you and you-"
She makes a vague hand gesture.
"Stalked me to the medbay? I mean I guess 'stalked' is a strong word but. Aha- I'm just. Thanks? Thanks for the concern."
How do you even... god damn look at those wings.

This 'almost being honest' thing is taking a lot of getting used to. It almost itches, but it's oddly freeing not to have to keep track of all the falsehoods he's weaving with yet another person. As long as he stays close to the truth...
"Protecting humans is an age old autobot tradition, but you don't annoy me quite as much as most of the humans I've met." Pleasantly, "And I understand your caution. This dimensional kidnapping can't be easy for you." There, open up a dialogue, hopefully.
