Joyride

Who: Skids, Commander Shepard, anyone who wants to drop in/get run over
What: Interested in burning a little rubber, two unlikely forces meet to go 'exploring' in the most cathartic way possible: by crashing through piles of junk, ramping over fruit carts, and generally seeing just how good Shepard is behind the wheel.
When: A few days prior to now
Where: All throughout the Junk Pile
Notes:
Anyone is welcome to join in. Most likely if you post, you'll encounter a near-miss of epic proportions, followed by an invitation to ride. Proceed with caution.

One thing that the Lost Light lacked, really, was a decent race track.

It wasn't that Skids was picky, because he wasn't. He wasn't a speedster, he wasn't an athlete, and he didn't 'need' the road beneath his tire-treads to feel alive. It was much, much better without roads, in fact, which made this Cybertron a vacation that he'd never thought he'd have.

No rules. Endless energon.

Titanium fruit carts poised at the perfect 45 degree angle to launch him through a mysteriously convenient flaming hoop.

The only thing to make it better was the company.

"Care to give it a try?"

He'd never had someone actually drive him before, but he was a stickler for having new experiences, and this was already proving as relaxing as a night in the Hub.

It was almost humorous that someone was allowing her to drive again. There was a reason she was given a pilot for her shuttles, and she suspected it had a lot to do with her crew complaining. But here she was, behind the wheel of a sentient car. Thus far she'd just been along for the ride, and it was fun, but now...

"Hell yeah. You ready to be driven like never before?" Oh geez that was weird. He was a robot who turned into a car, and she was going to take control of him? It was just... Weird.

Shepard took a moment to get the feel of the controls under her hands and look to see where everything was before she pressed her foot to the pedal. Really, Skids, this was a terrible and awesome idea, you just don't know it yet.

She had ramped the Mako off Geth spikes before, and driven straight up and off mountains. This would be fun, but not a challenge. They were up and through the hoop with no problems, and without even a celebratory moment of pause, they were speeding up the side of another pile of junk with the purpose of skidding down the other side. After that, they'd have to see where they went. Wherever it was, top speed was preferable.
