And Ignite Your Bones
WHO: Barricade and OPEN!
WHERE: All over the Haven
WHEN About now-ish
WHAT: Barricade returns to the Haven after an absence
WARNINGS: n/a; will update when applicable
Barricade had shut his Link off shortly after he'd left the Haven, in the opposite direction from the Badlands. He'd seen it and there was nothing there for him; better to explore a little farther than he had before, while he gave himself time to think.
And to get as far away as possible so he could send transmissions out on old lines he rarely used anymore. No one was going to answer, but saying everything out loud, sending it all into space... had helped. Gave him a chance to breathe a little instead of keeping all of it in. None of it was anything he felt comfortable sharing with other mechs here; the last two he could have were... well.
That was why he'd gone in the first place.
Eventually he had to come back, though. Even if it was really rather nice out there. Seeing stars again... erupting volcanoes. Get past the whole rocky terrain thing and this Cybertron wasn't really too bad. But it was the bugs that brought him back. His headlights had attracted a cloud of the things and the trails of them leaven the Haven led him back. Like some stupid song.
So he'd come back.
(Option 1)
Barricade waves a few of the robo-bugs away from his headlights as he finally enters the Haven again, taking a look around before eventually heading in, intent on giving it the full once-over before heading to a certain spot that had gotten his attention when he'd turned the Link back on.
(Option 2)
He'd caught the mention of a graveyard out in Alpha Trion's quadrant when he'd turned the Link on again. He exvents as he approaches it, slowing to a stop. He'd disappeared for a while, but... time to pay his respects now. Stay a while with a little bit of quiet for once.
(Option 3)
Eventually he has to leave the graveyard behind. He can't stay there forever, after all. Once he decides to leave, he heads back to Solus Prime's temple. He could use a good cleaning... and finding someone that might be able to explain why that symbol on his shoulder has gotten larger. It's disconcerting and in this case, he definitely needs answers.

bluh sorry this is all about dirge here ><
He'd known that Barricade probably didn't have any way of helping him- nobody ever did. And it wasn't really his processor that Dirge thought was the problem. Still, he thought he should warn the police car. "If you find something, you better tell me."
He frowns at the waving finger, considering Barricade's words for a moment. "But... Starscream doesn't have either of those. Maybe I could get some from a Megatron?"
He crouches on the tomb again, stroking his chin. "Why are you here, anyway?"
barricade and i do not mind, i promise!
"Believe me, I will. Something benefitting you would benefit most of us, I think." At least in that he wouldn't have to worry about trying to re-attach more sparks.
"They aren't traits you can just take. You have to learn them." He pauses, tapping his chin lightly. "Megatron made you wait a while, to get a Spark, right? That's patience. It's wanting something, but knowing how to wait f'r the right time to get it. Which is especially helpful when you're trying to avoid getting in trouble with the law."
Barricade's engine rumbles low at the question. "Supposedly t'help the FirstForged. But if you mean here in this cemetery, rather than in general... stopped by to pay my respects. Lost a couple folks to that whole Glyphless thing."
Re: barricade and i do not mind, i promise!
"I don't much like the sound of that. I'd rather keep all the benefit to myself." Honestly, if Barricade was going to be so nice as to help him out, why did he also have to be distributing the spoils? "Maybe I'll allow just you to also benefit. Since you'd be the one helping me." Dirge thought he was being rather gracious for offering that.
"Learn? Who will teach me them? Does it take a long time? Oh, patience is just the worst. I hate it. I know I have to occasionally use it but I don't like to," he groans, making a disgusted face.
The clone listens to Barricade's explanation, jumping down from the tomb and standing next to the smaller mech. He stares out at the rows of graves and cocks his head.
"The dead get paid in respect? That's not fair. I've been dead before too, just not buried. And nobody gives me any respect."
He grins and reaches over to grab at one of Barricade's tires. "Anyway, they'll all be back sooner or later. So why not visit them then? Unless you're gonna take their parts."
no subject
Barricade chuckles quietly at Dirge's insistence at keeping the benefit to himself. If only Dirge knew what he meant. But he's not particularly concerned with it, at the moment. If it comes up again, then it comes up. That's all there is to it.
"You may not enjoy using patience but it's more useful than you might realize. And getting used to employing it c'n mean the difference between life and death."
He snorts quietly for a moment... until his tire is grabbed. Then the noise is more of a 'hnnk' sound. "Things are different here; I'm not so sure that they'll be back. And if they are, it won't be timely."
"And folks here are not so forgiving of my practices, strangely."
no subject
"Taking a while is better than being gone forever." Something being gone forever was, in fact, one of Dirge's greatest fears. And a combination of refusal to think of anything of his doing that and the fact he'd been practically raised in strange bubble worlds like these... meant that he didn't believe in the concept.
"So let's dig them up when no one's looking!" he proposed, optics lighting brightly with excitement. "No one will know it was us."
no subject
He tilts his head slightly. "You seem more interested in gettin' me all hot and bothered than in robbing graves. Still sore that you didn't get a shot at me, hmm?"
Subject may be skewing ever so slightly, but is that really surprising?
no subject
"That was your loss, not mine," the jet snorts, wriggling a claw in between the spokes of a rim. "But now that I'm not currently occupied with a giant helicopter... I could remedy that for you."
no subject
"Lost your rotor-butt and in the market f'r another Tyran, huh?" Not that Barricade is one to pass on a decent 'face, of course, but he just has to niggle a little.
no subject
"He'll come around eventually. But yes, come to think of it- I am in need of a replacement for the time being," Dirge answers, grabbing hold of the other tire and setting it spinning with a chuckle.
no subject
"Where are you ever going to find one?" he teases lightly, claws sliding along Dirge's plating. His rumbling isn't entirely pleasant... except as an indication he's doing something right. That's always nice.
