I FEEL SO ACTIVE

WHO: Ambulon, Shockwave
WHERE: Shockwave's current location
WHEN: Shortly after Shockwave arrives; specifically after this thread.
WHAT: Shock's got a blown out optic. Ambubu decides to give it a looksy.
WARNINGS: I don't know. TBA, maybe. Mods, Shockwave tag, if you please? :3c

Man, if Cybertronians actually had organic muscles and fat and all that jazz, Ambulon would be in tip-top shape, what with all the running. Gathering a medkit, Ambulon quickly took off, hoofing it as fast as possible. Though not entirely sure his new patient was in any immediate danger, he didn't want to risk taking his time.

Fortunately, though it felt like eternity, it wasn't that long a trip. Ambulon arrived, cycles pushing air and coolant through his chassis. The coordinates led him to Shockwave's location, and he was... somewhat surprised.

This was a Shockwave. This could possibly end up one of the worst decisions Ambulon ever made, but... He cautiously approached the Decepticon, like one would a wounded animal (not too far off), holding up the medkit.

"Ambulon," he said, "we spoke over the link. I'm here to treat your optic."

As Ambulon approached, he leaned forward to give him a better grasp of the damaged part, keeping still after he placed his hands on it. Whether or not he felt anything was up to interpretation, as there was no obvious physical response to the prodding of the optic's mostly dead inner workings. True, it probably wasn't exactly pleasant to have someone prod around in there, but he wasn't one to complain.

He listened intently to the diagnostic, and heard the sounds of metal hands sifting through medical equipment. A temporary solution, but a sufficient one, nonetheless. As long as it was repaired well enough to navigate.

"Then I will revisit you in your med bay."

Which he is assuming is the one in Solus Prime's temple.

There's a still silence from his patient as he drops the question, letting it hang in the air for a moment or two. Was it a touchy subject? Maybe.

"Dead. The planet has long since been abandoned."

The response is curt and impersonal, less like explaining a tragic event and more like listing an object in an intermediary report.

"Only sentries and stragglers remain on the surface."

Not the happiest outcome to the war. As little as he usually cared for the wellbeing of his fellow Cybertronians, he'd prefer to keep a functioning home planet. It was difficult to find a replacement for something like that.

No doubt it's better. He doesn't really have any particular attachment to the husk of a planet the Cybertron back on his homeworld had become. It would be much more productive on focusing the development of this one.

As the connection was re-established, his systems immediately began to attempt to reactivate the damaged part. The optic flickered once or twice before it powered on completely, finally allowing him to view his surroundings.

Shockwave glances up to meet Ambulon before straightening his posture and giving the room some cold scrutiny. "This is sufficient."

He's not that bad a patient. Honest. It's not like he'll eat the head of the medic that helps him when it's all said and done. Probably not anyway.

Shockwave keeps in place, knowing full well that the repair was an impromptu one. His vision was riddled with artifacts as Ambulon had predicted, but it was clear enough where he could make out a fairly detailed image of his surroundings. Sufficient enough to navigate, though he wouldn't be doing much that involved meddling with fine details until it was fully restored.

After inspecting the room, his gaze drifts back to Ambulon,"I can navigate to the clinics from here."

The medic's hand gets a few seconds of attention as it is offered, but he doesn't take it. Flying out of here was hardly his plan, though the warning isn't viewed as unnecessary.

"The Lambda has adversely affected my alt mode. I will be walking."

There was nothing wrong as far as mechanical systems went, but he found himself unable to change. All the pieces were in place, but the internal data on his previous form was missing entirely. He'd need to acquire a new one.

Shockwave turns slightly, keeping his optic poised on Ambulon at his suggestion. While he wasn't particularly looking forward to discussing how dead his home planet was, he wasn't going to stop the medic from accompanying him. He didn't suspect there to be any cause for optic circuit to be damaged again from just walking, but if he insisted on helping further...

"You know the quickest route to your clinic.", or at least, Shockwave expects him to. Looks like escorting quickly became guiding their path.

The scrutiny seems to go by unnoticed, or rather, Shockwave doesn't think bringing it up is necessary. He seems to be paying closer attention to their surroundings. Despite his flawed vision, he was intrigued enough to keep track of wherever it was they were going, keeping any particular landmarks in mind.

Ambulon's explanation gets a silent audience, at least for the first few seconds trailing after it. He hadn't heard from his Megatron here - nor very many Decepticons. He'd been contacted by mainly Autobots, actually. Ones willing to steer clear of his own business. The war being suddenly over wasn't such a far-fetched thing, and suggesting that they put their differences aside didn't seem to elicit any sort of aggravated response. Or much of a response at all, save for the thoughtful pause.

"It would be most productive to steer development away from what began the war."

He follows Ambulon's indication to the entrance of the Med Bay, not giving any immediate answer. There would be time to see what development this new Cybertron needed, once the more prudent problem was resolved. For now, he would enter the Medbay.
