meditations!
WHO: Darth Malgus and YOU -- OPEN
WHERE: Liege's quadrant near the junk pile.
WHEN nowish
WHAT: Malgus tries to get a hold of himself after having temporarily lost his powers.and shows off to no one
WARNINGS: mind powers?
He sat near the pieces of random objects, cross-legged and seemingly away from everyone else. His connection to the Force had returned, though still dampened as it was upon arrival to this strange world.
But the void had been filled again, even if it was light as an echo. His eyes were closed as he focused himself or rather let himself flow into everything around him. He would not lose his powers again, he would keep a tighter grip and not allow another mistake.
His thoughts circled around the random pieces of scrap metal -- vague shapes that shifted through his mind even as they physically rose from the ground. This normally would be a simple task, but he had to grip harder, dive in deeper in order to concentrate.
So he pictured her in his mind. Her soft beauty -- her striking mind -- everything she was. His life and his weakness. A weakness he was forced to destroy. It was in those thoughts that the anger rose and the pieces of scrap caved in upon themselves, like crumpled paper. Equally they fell to the ground in a single thud afterwards.
He would keep pushing until his full connection had returned.
And then this world would see his real power.

Which, by now, had gotten quite a bit of use. Maybe he should look in to finding another one.
Still, it had proved to be kind of...fun...crawling like this. It reminded him of the playground, when his parents still took the family to the park. The same sort of obstacle crawl, albeit with quite a few more sharp objects, and no grass to land on if he fell...
At least he'd learned how to fall.
Raf muffled a yelp as he lost his grip on the pole he was holding on to, but managed to land in a sort of crouch, absorbing the shock. A bit remained, though, as he saw the man; meditating, he thought he recognized the pose, but the damaged skin and the breathing mask made his eyes widen just before he caught sight of the armor.
That.
Was different.
hey there bb
His head turned to directly look at the boy. A child, nothing more. He considered just ignoring him and going back about his business. But the sight did remind him again of Eleena ... who wanted a normal relationship and family.
Fortunately, his meditations had helped and he kept his thoughts contained for the moment.
"It is dangerous here for one so young."
He spoke it as both a slight threat and a statement at the same time.
how u doin
"Yeah, I - I know. I'm getting used to it, though."
He could mostly handle himself. Key word mostly, because he'd been around enough of his 'peers' to know a subtle threat when he hears one. Wincing only slightly, Raf picked himself up and wiped his hands on his jeans.
"Besides. I have a couple friends not too far away - you know, the Cybertronians?" Okay, just one, but. "They'll help me out if I run in to any trouble."
doin' just fine and you?
"You should not rely merely on the assistance of others," he almost scoffed his response back.
Though Malgus himself had enlisted the aid of bounty hunters and carefully calculated tasks that involved various individuals ... nothing quite was the same as handling a problem by oneself.
He canted his head slightly over in Raf's direction.
"Especially as they may not always be able to assist you."
I'M AIGHT I'M AIGHT
Still.
There'd certainly been once or twice that Raf had been on his own...and he'd managed, somehow. So maybe even if retreating was a bad idea...
A lot of times, bullies just took that as an invitation to find him later and pick on him another time. He had to show that he wasn't worth their time, one way or another...so as much as this man unsettled him, as much as it would be a good idea to excuse himself, as quickly as possible...
"Maybe not...but they rely on me often enough. The least I could do is return the favor."
i just love you so much i want everything with you ಠ_ಠ
Anything else would have to be dragged from him, meeting every shred of resistance he had on the way.
So Fortress Maximus looked for parts alone, though he did pause every few minutes to run as much a scan over the area as he could. Staying alert for any signs of life, anything that could be a threat...
...he didn't even think about anything than Cybertronian forms, though. Which was why when he knelt down to rustle through some pieces that looked promising, maybe there were some energy packs there...
...he didn't even glance up in the direction of the nearby organic.

Or perhaps was just ignoring him. He found some of their species seemed to have a superiority complex. That was familiar in the Empire among humans and aliens as well. It was a shame so much judgement was placed on species rather than skill.
Perhaps in an attempt to amuse himself or even just get a reaction, he concentrated on the area the large mech was rummaging through. He grasped at the force and focused to keep all the pieces of junk in that area down -- like they were superglued to the surface.
no subject
It wasn't like that a moment ago.
"The frag...?"
He tried tugging it, once, twice - nothing. Was there some sort of magnet? And when he let go, everything else seemed stuck as well...
...didn't explain why he didn't feel anything, though.
