WHO: Gunmax and Deckerd
WHERE: The Decker Room-in-progress
WHEN Sometime after McCrane finds Gunmax and the stasis cuffs are dealt with.
WHAT: Talkin' 'bout feelings.
WARNINGS: Robot feels.
Sure, it was stupid.
The idea had been to go out and dealt with Prism. One shot and bam. Dead. No, they've rarely ever had to make a decision like that before; they aren't executioners. They always bring their man in alive. Even if Gunmax was reckless about it, particularly in the beginning, even he's never taken a life.
He would have today if Blurr didn't stop him.
It's complex and he's ass-backwards about it and he'd really rather not deal with this, but he promised to stop by and talk about it. So here's Gunmax, parking his motorcycle and plopping down onto a crate, taking out his flask and sipping absently from it.
This is going to be awful.

Maybe. Just maybe there's a small sense of pride. Strange pride. Like handcuffing yourself to your partner and being able to tolerate it is some kind of achievement.
But that's Deckerd.
"Look on the bright side, we can spend some quality time together. Work on the profile database I've started organizing!"
