"Deckard, I--" McCrane started, having so much that he wanted to
explain...but he was stopped by the hug.
He did not know what to do with a hug. He did not feel he deserved
a hug.
"...I'm sorry," he replied, quietly, out of sorts but not pulling away. He
couldn't pull away from Deckard. Maybe he did not deserve the
embrace...but it grounded him, and it comforted him in a way he did not
expect.
"I did not want to give up. Perhaps I got that from you, also."
Slowly, he brought his hands up to return the hug.
"It's what to do now that I am still confused by, Deckard. I feel like
I've failed."
