WHO: Skyfire and you!
WHERE: Every lab in the Haven
WHEN: During the event (for simplicity's sake, let's assume different threads take place at different times)
WHAT: Skyfire is affected by orange energon and everybody else's lab equipment is starting to look very, very tempting.
WARNINGS: None

Skyfire couldn't help what he was doing. In fact, it might be more accurate to say that he hadn't even stopped to think about it. All he knew was that he needed to get things. There were all kinds of instruments he simply had to have and the ones on the Junkpile wouldn't do.

Sharing with Jetfire wasn't good enough either. It should all belong to him! Not just what was in their shared lab, but in all of the others, too. Why not? He could see no reason against it.

So now he was trying to get into every laboratory he could find. Sneakily. You know, like only a giant shuttle could.

[Knock Out was doing this daily check up on patients and all around the clinic when he noticed that the door of the laboratory was open. He didn't use it much and first he thought that maybe the opposite polarity Starscream was there.

The mech seemed really excited at the chance to work and investigate freely with his equipment. Knock Out walked into the lab to see if the seeker was there or someone left the door open by accident.]

[Joy, exaclty what Knock Out needed. A giant stealing all his stuff. He worked hard to get it, you know? Going to the main medbay and grabbing things without them noticing wasn't easy. Some of those tools he actually made them himself as well.

Knock out crosses his arms over his chest and stays on the door, blocking the exist.]

What do you think you are doing?
deadlydoctor: (You gotta be kidding me)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-03-25 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
[This is going to be a really mature debate, Knock Out can tell immediately.]

Those aren't your things. Those are MY things. Stuff we need for the clinic, go find your own somewhere else.
deadlydoctor: (Crouching)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-03-26 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Look, I'm trying to have a civilized conversation but if you aren't out of here in less than 5 clicks I will taser you.

[And to prove that he brings out his prod.]
deadlydoctor: (>:[ I hate you)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-03-27 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
My apologies, I'm sorry If I am a bit miffed about strangers stealing the medical supplies of my workplace.

[He will only warn you one more time, Skyfire, and that will be pointing the prod in your direction without firing it. Yet.] Put all that down.
deadlydoctor: (Stand - red)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-03-29 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[Normally, Knock Out would have fried Skyfire's circuits the second he saw him where he shouldn't be.

But he has the feeling that it wouldn't help him if other people discovered about it, they could even kick him out the Defense committee. Besides, he can tell Skyfire is not 100% himself. He huffs, irritated.]

Why every time you and me talk something weird is happening to you?
deadlydoctor: (Shut up Starscream)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-04-02 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
[Very lucky, trust him on that.]

...

Did you found any crystals around, just like Power Joe?
deadlydoctor: (Facepalm - 2nd hand embarrasement)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-04-05 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's mentally facepalming so hard at this whole thing.]

Look I'm trying really hard to fight the urge to fry you Skyfire but you aren't making it easy.
deadlydoctor: (I see - dangerous)

[personal profile] deadlydoctor 2014-04-10 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes. Leaving with my things.

[He's mentally counting to stop himself from doing something violent.] Leave know before I change my mind but I WANT my things back eventually.
angleofscience: (? - plz to unconfuse)

Jetfire was thankful he could still fly in rootmode - it took longer to get places flying like that, but he was still far faster than walking (and faster than some ground-alted mechs as well).

His biggest clue that something was wrong had happened immedately upon finding the white crystals - or rather, slightly after, trying to transform and leave the area. He'd done preliminary scans then, and had intended to go check things more thoroughly later but there'd been other issues that had popped up...

So it'd taken a while, but he was now walking into the lab and---

"... Skyfire?" The light had, of course, turned on when Jetfire came in, but it had been off prior to that, and why was Skyfire lurking in the lab in the dark?
angleofscience: (... - stare)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-03-25 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
... Right.

For half a second, Jetfire resisted the urge, and then just gave in and rubbed a hand over his mouth and chin. Apparently he (and some others, ahem) wasn't the only one in this lab having... ah, issues.

"... Perhaps you'd like to... ah, elaborate on how those are yours?" Jetfire's gaze flickered down to the tangle of instruments in Skyfire's arms and then up again and he had no idea how this would play out.

Most probably he'd just let Skyfire pass in the end and try to get it all back whenever this was fixed because it better be. But for now, he was standing at the only easily available exit - they really should consider an emergency exit, though.
angleofscience: (say what? - I did calculations!)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-03-26 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Looks like he is going to temporarily have to sacrifice the equipment here. At least all of it isn't portable, even with his or Skyfire's size and strength.

"Let's... ah, say they are. Need them for anything... specific?" He'll ask outright for strangely coloured energon if he has to, but he has the feeling that at this point, it'd be more about confirmation of their issues stemming from the same thing rather than an ability to do anything about it with the knowledge.
angleofscience: (ttly explaining things - confused yet?)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-03-28 12:03 pm (UTC)(link)
"For work. Of course. You're aware we... er, usually do that here, right?" He wasn't going to drag a palm down his faceplate again. He was going to try and take this as it came.

It didn't stop the next vent from coming out slightly slower than normal out of exasperation.

"Need them to analyse any differently coloured energon?" He would at least have - hopefully - some sort of response for this and possibly add more data to the current issue's possible conclusion.
angleofscience: (wait wait - let's discuss this)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-03-30 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
... Ah.

With a sigh, Jetfire held up his hands, palms out.

"I promise I won't... er, take what's yours. I have my own energon. I was just wondering if you'd seen any. If you do analyse it, could you perhaps tell me the results?" Though, as Skyfire was right now, Jetfire was pretty sure Skyfire would consider the results 'his' too and want to 'keep' it.

How frustrating.
angleofscience: (shadowed - ugh)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-04-02 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
If nothing else, that would've told him something was wrong, but as it was it just confirmed it. It, and what Skyfire was saying, however, did draw out an arched grimace he usually aimed at somebody else.

And it had been a long time since he'd used it in relation to talking about 'stealing' somebody else's work.

"No, I'm not going to... er, steal your work or take credit for it, but since you aren't the only one afflicted, sharing it would be... useful." Why was he even trying to argue this rationally, since this wouldn't even lead to a Starscream-type admission, he was pretty sure.
angleofscience: (inquisitive - how much data?)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-04-05 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
"... Skyfire, while I know it might be somewhat... ah, difficult to consider right now, you're aware you'd usually not... er, behave like this?" He's not sure why he's still trying, but he's used to it, having had lots of practice.

And not trying would be failing Skyfire as a friend, as he's pretty sure the mech would, if he was thinking in his usual processing streams, want the help, successful or not.
angleofscience: (say what? - I did calculations!)

[personal profile] angleofscience 2014-04-10 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course. Usually that haven't, so far, included... er, removing all the tools you can in the lab to another location. Which is why I'm pointing it out." The pause it itself that he's already gotten prove that, even if nothing comes from this, Skyfire might at least be made somewhat aware things aren't precisely normal.

He doubts he'll get much further than this, but well. That pause was encouraging enough in itself.

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-03-24 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
He had a lot on his mind lately. More so than usual, even for him.

Recent events were weighing more heavily on him than usual. Understandable, considering the "gift" the FirstForged dumped on him. But what else could he do, besides try and work on containing the problem?

Today, he'd forgotten to lock up, after Wheeljack went off on some errand or other. The door stood open, for now, while the tank tapped a few loose equations into his console, working them over with absent focus.
sciencetank: (Stop in the name of science!)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-03-25 05:54 am (UTC)(link)
It was a little difficult to miss the giant shuttle entering his lab. His head jerked up, eying Skfire dubiously. And then blinked.

"Jet... fire?"

The general build looked about the same. Even if the color scheme wasn't exact. For a second, something in his spark decided to rekindle. Someone... from home?
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-03-27 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
"Yes, of course..."

He could see it now. Foolish of him, really. Except that all took a backseat to the fact this stranger was suddenly collecting bits and pieces of his equipment. He straightened up.

"What on Cybertron do you think you're doing!"
sciencetank: (Don't tell me to shush it's SCIENCE)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-03-28 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
"Excuse me!"

He was stepping around the console, now, striding up toward the shuttle, all irritable scientist. It didn't matter how large Skyfire was. Those were his instruments!

"This is not your lab, nor are those your things!"
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-03-30 02:40 am (UTC)(link)
"It most certainly is not!"

Shuttle or no, he saw nothing wrong with blustering forward, making shooing motions at the other bot. As if hand motions alone were going to solve this problem. Somehow.
sciencetank: (Finest piece of Science Ass there is)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-04-02 08:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Pacifism. That's what.

The shooing motions continued, as he took a few steps closer to the shuttle, still glowering at him.

"Attempting to remove you from my premises. Now... go!"
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-04-05 03:10 am (UTC)(link)
"No, you'll leave now."

He thumped a hand against the shuttle's plating, for emphasis. About as far as he was willing to go, in terms of physical altercation.
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2014-04-10 04:20 am (UTC)(link)
"I do insist!"

He stepped forward again, swatting at the shuttle now. "And return my things while you're at it!"
