WHO: Jetfire and Sari
WHERE: Starting off outside Nexus' temple.
WHEN: About now
WHAT: Jetfire takes Sari for a flight
WARNINGS: None.

He wasn't sure why he'd offered, beyond that it might give some brief distraction and amusement, hopefully, to Sari. He wasn't overly enthused over the reality of having yet another person in his cockpit, but it was probably a good idea to get used to it.

With a soft snort Jetfire landed and looked to the temple doors as they opened.

If anything Sari would be far preferable to having Megatron crammed in there, really.

"Ready?"

"Yeah, I didn't exactly bring it with me..."

Quickly catching the idea, Sari ran over to Jetfire's tilted wing. Expression determined, she leapt up-

And fell sort. By quite a bit.

Not that it stopped her from trying.

"Almost-! Got it-!"

She kept jumping up, hands waving about as she tried to catch the edge.

"Come on!"

He'd have winced if that wouldn't have twitched the wing further out of her reach. Instead he kept steady and tried to angle himself further without loosing balance. Luckily, he did have antigravs to assis in counter-balancing, but it was still something of a precarious exercise.

"Sari! Are you... er, all right? If this doesn't work, we'll go back and get your jetpack." He didn't want her to have a bad fall and injure herself, after all. Even if she was, being... ah, techno-organic? more durable than the human she looked like to be.

"I'm fine! I've so got this!" She gasped out, still stubbornly jumping.

Eventually, with one final leap, Sari just managed to catch the trailing edge of wing with her fingertips.

"Aha! Gotcha!"

Stubbornly, she held on, kicking legs into the air until she managed to get a higher grip, and pulled herself up with an exhausted sigh.

"You're--- Ah." He probably shouldn't have been surprised she managed to get up, but he was, even with helping her just a shade by timing angling back even with her last swing upwards to give her a little extra leverage.

"Careful so you don't fall off, now," Jetfire murmured as he opened up the cockpit to let Sari in. At least, even if the seat and the straps were far, far too large and wide for her, he would still be able to adjust said straps as needed to make sure she was securely strapped in depending on how they ended up flying.

"Yeah yeah, I'll be careful!" Sari laughed, running across the long wing and working her way around Jetfire's side to reach the cockpit.

If Jetfire wasn't so big - and if she wasn't so small - it might have been more difficult, but as it was, Sari had no trouble finding hand-holds and flat surfaces to stand on. It was still a bit of a drop inside Jetfire's cockpit, but the seat was soft enough to land on.

"See? Totally got this. Ready when you are, bigbot!"

She gave the seat a pat, completely ignoring the too-large straps.

He snorted softly and refrained from pointing out she was hardly being careful, but now that she was on his wing he could easily follow her progress and, if it became necessary... he could probably magnetize part of his armour enough to catch her if she fell.

It turned out it wasn't necessary however, and he closed the cockpit after he felt her bounce down on the seat.

"You do. But Sari, strap in for the take off at least. You can take them off after that if you want to." He wasn't going to have her slide around and fall off the seat while he flew up, though.

"Oh fiiiiiine!"

Sari sighed dramatically, but reached for the seatbelts, tucking them around herself like the over-sized blankets that they were.

"There. Can you lift the seat up any, at least? I can't really see. I'm too short!" She pointed up toward the 'glass' of the cockpit, high over her head.

At least Sari being small meant the straps would certainly be enough for her - even if the huge buckle was centered in front of Sari and and partly covered her.

It would, at least, keep her in place and hopefully protect her somewhat if it was actually needed, though he didn't really see it would be.

"A bit, perhaps, but I doubt it'll be... ah, enough for you..." Trailing off thoughtfully, Jetfire did shift the seat up and forwards as he cycled his flight engines and geared up for takeoff.

Sari probably wouldn't have time to get bored, since compared to an Earth plane, it took far less time for Jetfire to speed up and get off the ground.

"Awwww! But I wanna see-"

Sari stretched up as much as she could against the giant straps, peering up, only to immediately be distracted by the revving before take off. She threw both hands up, cheering.

"Ooooh! This is gonna be fun!"

"Soon. Just wait a moment," Jetfire said with a chuckle and put on a last burst of speed to get in the air, angling sideways to climb upwards in huge spirals around the temple, making sure Sari at least got glimpses of sky and ground, even strapped in as she was.

"Just let me level out and you can unbuckle."

"Weeeeeee!" Sari kept her arms up in the air as they rocketed upward, treating the ride just like a roller coaster. Even if she couldn't see as much as she hoped, the view was still dizzyingly intense.

"Awesooome! Let's do that part again!"

"... I suppose. Don't unbuckle, Sari." To make sure she didn't get the idea to actually do so, Jetfire, as he rose beyond the temple's highest point, shot away and then barrelrolled, secure in the knowledge that Sari wouldn't fall down on the cockpit's armour glass.

Then he held there, flying upside down to let Sari see the ground from that angle for a moment.

"Aww, I won't, I won't!" Sari couldn't help but whine a little, before shrieking in delight as Jetfire barrelrolled.

Arms and pigtails dangling down, Sari 'oooo'd at the upside down sight of the ground far below.

"So! Cool!"

For a moment, he thought he'd misjudged - and then he recognised the shriek for what it was and chuckled, taking a wide turn to prolong the moment slightly.

"I thought you'd like that." And a good thing too, he wouldn't have wanted to upset her this soon into the flight. But his conclusions from what he knew about Sari had obviously proven to be more right than wrong, at least.

Rolling back around again, Jetfire rose higher before he quietly released the catch that would allow Sari to actually unbuckle.

He'd activated it earlier to make sure she didn't unbuckle despite him telling her not to, because frankly, she seemed the type.

"All right, go ahead and unbuckle if you want."

Frankly, Jetfire had the right idea. She could have easily been tempted, despite the risk of crashing against the inside of the jet's cockpit.

"Sweet!"

The moment she was given the all-clear, Sari immediately shucked the belt, standing up on the seat and leaning toward the giant consoles to get a better view.

"What are we flying over right now?"

He could have (and sort of had) guessed, yes.

Chuckling, Jetfire slowed enough that it'd be easier for Sari to get a view of the ground even with the relative lack of light since the light from Prima's tower was behind them and getting dimmer by the moment.

"Westwards from the Haven, since it's far longer, comparatively, to the Badlands from this side." But since planets were round, sooner or later... not that he planned on flying that far.

"I'll rise higher later, give you a view of Cybertron from its near space." He could, probably, have taken her to one of the moons, but she wasn't really equipped for that he thought.

Maybe. He had no idea how her apparent humanity would be affected compared to her actual cybertronian nature in such a situation.

"Cool!" Sari leaned up as far as she could, bouncing in the chair.

"Space?" She perked up immediately, giving the nearest speaker (and what she assumed was Jetfire's camera 'eye' sensor) a hopeful glance.

"We can go to space?"

"We can yes. We'll still be relatively close, because I'm not sure..." trailing off, Jetfire actually considered Sari again and realised he'd almost forgotten her very organic parts.

How would those react to his not at all organic-suited cabin in space?

"I'm frankly unsure how your... ah, situation will be affected by a trip out into an environment as space is when I'm not configured to provide all the necessary support for organics in such a situation."

He didn't at all consider that Sari might not have understood what he was saying.
