There's a long pause after Rung's offer. His wings twitch idly, deep in thought about the situation. He could try by himself...but he didn't trust it. He'd back out, and the progression into insanity would continue.

He needed Rung there to give him a push.

His eyes shutter, closing for a moment as he looks away.
