Well, there's a bare spot near his face obviously, so he reaches up with his free hand and gives the curtain a tug, trying to make the gap in wrapping bigger. And why not, he'll start wiggling the fingers of his pinned hand, since wherever it is it's palm up, trying to get a grip on the curtain there too. That's helpful, right?
