"Then let's talk about something else," he says, brightly. It's true, he really doesn't want to think about fighting right now. The drinks do a lot to dull the anger, take his mind off of the past. He's happy to change the subject, and it shows.

More than he wants it to.

"You could... but you're here, talking, and detailing all the reasons you could be playing for their side, telling me you're not fond of fighting..."

He stretches a little, the motion languid, and slow.

"You're not being very deceptive, if you are."

He lifts a hand, to poke lightly at the other's plating as he says it, as if to punctuate the statement.
