The therapist is frozen in shock, unable to really process what's going on because this is possibly one of the most unexpected things he's ever experienced. There's a lot wrong about it--mostly the fact that Dead End is technically his patient--and a lot right about it--because he does like the other--and it all crashes down at him at once.
So he's torn between pulling away and maybe sort of returning it.
His optics, having brightened at the initial contact, dim and he hesitantly returns it before morals get the better of him the therapist pulling away with an almost distressed look.
"Dead End..." he murmured softly, wanting to say more but his vocalizer just wasn't working with him.
