Seeing Double

Megatron had expected others. After all, what would any universe with his kind be without a Megatron? In his mind he made several connections between these multiple dimensions and himself. For every conflict on Cybertron there was a Megatron there causing it. He, no matter the universe, pushed forward and invoked massive change. There was always an Optimus Prime who pushed back.

So where was the Optimus Prime on this Cybertron? The balance did not feel right. Not that Megatron was inclined to attempt a foolish and pointless takeover at the moment anyway. In time, perhaps, but not now. Right now he had an interesting little... issue that he wanted to take care of.

The smaller Megatron was an interesting little surprise. Megatron found him highly amusing, and he could see a great potential in him as well. For now, he wanted to test to see what he was capable of.

Which was, for the moment, pointedly keeping a low profile. It would not do to be known too early, no. Not before he had an idea what everyone else was like.

So. The Decepticon leader had decided to summon him. Even as he'd done his namesake's bidding, he was NOT to be someone to call and dismiss like a common lackey.

Two things so far were apparent to Megatron, regarding his... spiritual predecessor. One was that this other Megatron was far better gifted in the brute strength department due to his wasteful size and energy intake - but that was no news. The second was that, while he respected him well enough in death, he had no real fondness for the Decepticon leader's alive, and, more importantly, online state.

Only one of them SHOULD be alive, and if he did anything too soon it very much wouldn't be him. He could wait. Preferably not long, but if he had to, he could wait. For now, he'd even decided to do as he'd been asked, and head over for said conversation. He did have to admit he was curious to see what this was about, though it was a bit too much out of his control for his liking at the moment.

Megatron grinned as the other entered the room. Being the gracious host he was, he gave the other a dramatic bow. Now this could be seen either as respectful or mocking. Megatron wanted it to be seen as the latter. He was the one in charge here, and he wanted to make sure that the other didn't forget it.

"Ahhh Megatron, I'm glad you could find the time to join me. I'd hate to think I was interrupting anything important." His tone said that he really didn't think that the other Megatron was doing anything important at all. Patronize the other? Why yes, of course.

The other Megatron's optics narrowed marginally. The slight was not wasted on him. But he knew very well who he was dealing with, and did little more than mentally growl while shifting his demeanor to something almost entirely pleasant. If Megatron decided to play the gracious host, he would certainly be the part of distinguished guest.

To anyone watching it might have looked like a meeting of two very good friends. Emphasis placed on 'might'.

"Nothing terribly interesting, I assure you." The less importance Megatron assigned to anything that's done in free time, the better for one of them. "Now then. I do wonder if there's an occasion you were ...generous enough to extend an invitation here?"

"I suspected as much."

Megatron laughed lightly, as if trying to share a joke with the other. After a moment the humour left his face and he straightened, putting his hands behind his back in a sort of relaxed manner.

"In order for your plans to succeed, undoubtedly you would need a little... assistance. Come with me, I shall introduce you to someone." He tilted his head towards the door.

"I assume you can fly." If not then you're more of a waste than he originally thought.
