"Wars never lack for idiots willing to throw themselves into danger," Drift says. "It's those who can build peace that are more important." It sounds strange coming from him, but here, as a mech with only the one talent, he's realizing exactly how limiting it is.

"Someone woke me up to what I was doing, letting my goal rule out over the means. You can't win a war by becoming a monster. You may defeat your enemy, but then what have you turned yourself into to do that and how can you turn to peace?"
