He's freer to behave as he'd like here than he was back home too, without having to guard himself or worry about retaliation or other consequences, moreso even from his own faction than his enemies. And he's lonely for close companions - he misses his wingmates and, in spite of himself perhaps (certainly in spite of his faction), he enjoys the special agent's company.]
