Doesn't matter if Sissel was dead or not, having to remember that probably sucked. Especially since Sissel didn't remember much as it was.
"How is it uplifting?" He doesn't understand, but what he does understand is he needs to scoop up the human and hold him for a bit.
He's not going to let Sissel dwell on his death, he knows too much what it's like to dwell on things.
