What's December Without Christmas Eve? [Tree Decorating: OPEN]

Well, Kay and Elita had done it. It took awhile, and surprisingly, all in one night, but they'd been able to grab branches from the large crystal trees that the pink robot had grown, and placed them all around Haven. Where, specifically? Outside the temples! Really, surprised no one noticed it. But to those who walk out of the them, they'll now notice a tree on either their right or left, empty, glittering, and with a note.

What could this mean? What's this? There's trees everywhere! What's this? And depending on what your alignment is/where you live, you'll get a different tree.

(ooc: I'll be putting comments up for each quadrant's tree. Comment under whichever one you'd like to react to/decorate/chat with people under. It's a huge mingle thread! Also, don't forget to put your tag in the log!

Prima Aligned can expect to see a rather decent sized crystal 'tree', even by robot standards. It's branches have been trimmed neatly in a diagonal cuts, giving it the appearance of a pine tree, but pristine enough to look almost like a cone. Prima seems to be the epitome of class in Kay's mind, so a well kept tree seemed to be in order. It's situated to the right of the temple entrance, light bouncing off it's crystal body from the temple itself as you look into it.

Megatronus Aligned can be expected to see a tree as well outside of their temple. Should they venture to any other temple, they will notice that their's is...slightly smaller than the others, at least by a third. It's rather jagged and not at all elegant, branches sticking out every which way, but...the inhabitants of Megatronus's section are probably unphased by such a sight anyway. It's situated to the left of the entrance to the temple, it's white opaque body glimmering even from a distance.

Solus Aligned can expect to see...what is supposed to be a tree, at least. It's very tall and narrow, consisting of only four real 'branches'. They seem to stem from the base itself, looking like four separate trunks as they intertwine around each other, zigzagging upward. It almost has a metalworking allure to it, going for a more abstract look. When this branch was pulled, Kay immediately thought of Solus, because it reminded her of the first of the forge. It stands out among the quadrant, right outside the temple, waiting to be decorated.

Nexus Aligned can expect to see a rather interesting crystalized formation, and when Kay saw it, she thought of no one other than Nexus himself. It seems to be crystals growing horizontally around other crystals, to give off a layered 'tree' affect, with three layers of canopy. The crystal has grown outwards, giving the tops of the canopies a rather smooth, almost ice-like effect. One could probably stand on them to get to the higher levels...granted they aren't too heavy. It is one of the wider trees, but definitely one of the most sturdy. It sits to the left of the Nexus temple, perhaps a little...further out, to accomodate those canopies.

Leige Maximo Aligned can expect to see a rather gnarly tree. While crystal tends to move in jagged, straight lines upward, this branch substituting as a tree seems like a willow. Truth is, the branch is upside down, giving it a reverse-growth appearance. In a sense, it almost seems like a dome, with a pointed top from where the branch was torn off. The interconnecting crystals also give it a 'spiderweb' effect in some places. It sits outside the temple to the left.

Alpha Trion Aligned can expect to see something vastly different than the other trees in the quadrants. While it's not quite as tall as Nexus's, it makes up for it in width, and it almost seems to be two crystalline structures in one. The branches have connected together to form, what looks to be, an archway. It's branches curve over and connect delicately, and it almost seems...symmetrical. It is positioned just outside the temple, creating an archway not unlike a Japanese shrine gate.

Vector Aligned can expect...a rather thin tree. To be honest, it looks like a sword. While Prima has elegance, Vector always seemed to prefer efficiency. And thus, the straightest branch would be the best one for him. That doesn't mean it doesn't have branches of it's own, but they are few, simplistic, and jutting upright from the main 'trunk'. If one looks at it, it has the appearance of a Shichishito. After all, Vector was a warrior, right? Seemed like a perfect choice to Kay. It sits outside the temple to the right.

Whirl drops down out of the sky, when he sees the tree. He squints at the note, snorting. "Make it pretty, huh?"

Ain't nothing prettier than Whirl. So he's going to perch in that tree, hunched down like a horrible, sexy vulture.

Tarn's standing here looking at his quadrant's tree, and thinking it might need to be relocated...

Smokescreen had sort of been avoiding everyone a bit since his talks with various individuals by the lake. He'd just been wandering about Haven, thinking and giving himself time to pull himself together. He had teammates counting on him to keep himself together and while the loss of Optimus had hit him hard, he couldn't let it ruin him forever.

As he finally made his way back to Alpha Trion's temple, he paused as he spotted the tree-archway, the rookie pausing as he stared up at it. His gaze fell on the note, optics flickering a bit as he recognized this sort of thing from the stuff he'd learned about Earth.

He couldn't help but grin a bit, reaching up and out to touch a part of the tree.

It's a habit, now, to venture back out toward Trion's lake. He might not be fond of the place, but it's quiet. It's easy to think. Easy to lose yourself in memory. Precious memory -- the only thing that will never, ever change. And there's a peace in that.

Except today, something catches his attention more than the memory of a smirk, or the image of a familiar face in his mind. It's something he's never seen before, and, thus, attracts his attention.

Decorate, it says.

But what is it?

He reaches out with hesitant fingertips, tracing the edge of the structure. Whatever it is, it's beautiful all on its own. What else could he do to it?

Rung hadn't been back to the temple in awhile; at least that's what it felt like. He'd been spending so much time at his office, even falling into recharge there a few times, that he hadn't really stopped in at the temple.

So, he'd finally decided to change that, having found some free time of course.

He spotted the tree and Tarn as he approached, optics flickering a bit as he regarded the mech standing there for a brief moment before drawing closer. It was near the temple after all so he needed to walk by anyway...

"..Someone's been busy," he said with a faint smile, just trying to be friendly and all as he tried to make his way past. "Putting up a tree and all. I'm..assuming it's some sort of custom?"

Kay totally saw that, Whirl. She'd actually just got done posting that note, ready to go to another quadrant, before hiding when you showed up. Yes, yes she sees you. You being perched atop that gangly looking thing.

"Are you trying to be the star?"

Kay's been making rounds of the quadrants lately, thanks to some help from Elita. With Kagerou so busy making sure Vandal was okay, Kay'd taken up to some activities to keep herself busy as well. She didn't expect to find Kagerou there at the temple by the lakes, and thus practically screamed.

"Kagerou!"

Look at her! She's waving at you!

"38."

A small voice seemed to pipe up from behind him. She'd never seen this robot before...but, she kinda wished she had. He was REALLY pretty, after all. The white and the blue looked really nice together in her opinion, and robots with wings kind of had her at a weakness.

It's just the 38 that's got her.

You're...really big. Very big and you look like an angry bird. Don't mind if the girl just...hides out. Spying on you.

What? He's trying to get all into this Chris-mess spirit. Whatever.

"I fraggin' am the star." He is the starriest star.

What are you talking about? He might look foul, but he's certainly no fowl.

Really, there's no resemblance at all.

But where are you hiding, mammal? Wouldn't you like to come out and say 'hi?'

"Oooo Pretty!"

Ravage is looking up at the crystal tree, admiring it and wondering if he should try to climb it or not. Then notices the note and gets all excited. He goes running back towards the Temple.

"I'm gonna find some decorations for teh tree!" Yes he does have to announce it like that, and there maybe a short text post on the network saying the same thing too.

Doorwings flicked slightly as Smokescreen startled some, jerking his hand away from the archway to turn and look...down at the human. He didn't recognize her either but that didn't stop him from offering a grin, lifting a hand to give her a mock salute.

"Call it my new lucky number," he mused, kneeling down to put himself a bit closer to the girl. "Name's Smokescreen."

[Kay gets that little text, and is excited to see Ravage so into it. Although she's a bit curious...]

What r u putting on teh tree?

The bird looks nicer, Tarn. You should have said there was resemblance. There's a slight shuffle as she peeks out more, maybe scattering a few pebbles.

"I've never seen anyone like you before..."

And that face lights up like a...well, Christmas tree.

"Wow! You'd be a perfect star! Your eye shines like one and everything!"

When Smokescreen gives her a salute, it seems only fair to give one in return.

"Mr. Lucky 38." It had a nice ring to it, now that she thought about it. But when hearing his new name, she giggles. "Smokescreen, huh? Do you make smoke or something? Where does it come out of?"

She certainly hoped it wasn't his mouth. That'll get you robot lung cancer.

It's certainly... something. Although what that something is, Dead End doesn't know - aside from the fact that it's supposed to be decorated. With what? he doesn't know that either. Or why it's even at the temple in the first place.

So the Stunticon simply stands in front of it. Staring.

Is this a normal thing?
