angleofscience: (upset - complete miscalculation)

At first, the demand and obvious sudden decision to not talk (more like shout at each other) about... all of this anymore just made Jetfire's anger flare up and he pushed Starscream a bit more firmly into the wall.

He couldn't just decide he didn't want to, after bringing it up---!

"... You're right. I can't." It was said tightly, words snapped out with controlled frustration as, despite the anger and hurt, somehow Jetfire got control of some part that was clawing up and recognised that it was a good thing if they could stop now.

They'd gain nothing from this, with all this emotion everywhere. Emotion that he knew, while certainly at least partly true, wasn't necessarily natural. Something was wrong.

Leaning in, Jetfire gritted his teeth and rested the front of his helm against Starscream's, and took a moment to convince himself that he could let Starscream go. He trusted him, even if he also knew it wasn't a completely good idea to do so. In that, he could also pick out the wholly unnatural paranoia that tried to tug on him and convince him he couldn't let Starscream go.

Giving something between a grown and a frustrated huff, optics narrow and still too bright, Jetfire took a step back, put Starscream down on the ground and pushed him away. The second he did that, all fire was - temporarily or not - gone, and he just slumped down to sit on the floor, optics off.

Completely ignoring the real-but-not-true paranoia whispering about what a fool he was, and this would cost him dearly.
